This portal is to open public enhancement requests against IBM Z Software products. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).
We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:
Start by searching and reviewing ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted, and add a comment, vote, or subscribe to updates on them if they matter to you. If you can't find what you are looking for,
Post an idea.
Get feedback from the IBM team and other customers to refine your idea.
Follow the idea through the IBM Ideas process.

Hello Guest, re: RACF and Crypto support, please see blog: "Java 11 on z/OS Security Extensions Under Consideration for Service Stream Updates". For WebSphere Liberty support of Java 11, please see blog: "WebSphere Application Server for z/OS and IBM Semeru Runtime Certified Edition for z/OS, Version 11". Thank you.
Hello, the current version of Java 11 for z/OS (GA) can not use the RACF and Crypto Harware?!
The next issue is the maintenance for JAVA and WebSphere Liberty at the same time.
Java should be compatible and tested with WebSphere Liberty.
Dear Guest, regarding comment "I still think there must also be an SMP/E installable format available as long as it's not included in z/OS", there is a SMP/E installable format for Java 11 on z/OS. This RFE is specifically requesting installation via the Installation Manager.
I've cast my vote, but I still think there must also be an SMP/E installable format available as long as it's not included in z/OS
