Workspace PL/I Compilers

Parameter of compiler to check the compatibility with another version of PL/I and LE.

We would like a parameter of the compiler to verify that we do not use the new feature PL/I that would not exist in an earlier version of PL/I and LE.
As explain, if I copy a load module in the environment where the version of PL/I is smaller than the environment where the module has been compiled, this may not function.

Due to processing by IBM, this request was reassigned to have the following updated attributes:
Brand - Servers and Systems Software
    Product family - Programming Languages
    Product - PL/I Compilers

For recording keeping, the previous attributes were:
    Brand - Rational
Product family - Design & development
    Product - PL/I Compilers

until the most recent release, any new compiler has worked with any LE release in service when the compiler release shipped and any subsequent releases. This will continue to be true with LE V2. With the 4.5 compiler release, some new functions were added only to LE V2 (and later) because the only V1 release in service at the time (1.13) was scheduled to go out of service soon. So the utility of the proposed option would be a very limited and would be null if the next PL/I release ships after 1.13 goes out of service.
