keep cursor open and SQLrecord alive between program calls [RTC 36149]

We want to be able to specify we would like to "re-use" SQL record "java objects" in the debugger.
In RAD 6 we had (after a fix) a checkbox in the debugger preferences "keep SQL cursors open between program calls".

This checkbox doesn't exist anymore in RBD and we do have problems with our clients' programs (see use case entry).

What I think should happen (but I ca be wrong as I don't know the tools architecture) is the javaobjects created from SQLrecords should be kept, or made static so they exist in the "new" program object as well. OR the program object should be reused over different calls.

Due to processing by IBM, this request was reassigned to have the following updated attributes:
Brand - Servers and Systems Software
    Product family - Programming Languages
    Product - Business Developer

For recording keeping, the previous attributes were:
    Brand - Rational
Product family - Design & development
    Product - Business Developer

This RFE's Headline was changed after submission to reflect the headline of an internal request we were already considering, but will now track here.

This has been implemented in fix pack 7.5.1.5. It not only improves performance, but also provides more consistency in the runtime behavior between Javagen, Debug, and COBOLGen.

Thank you for this suggestion. This function was impemented as an enhancement after V6, but it was never rolled up into V7. We agree that this is an important function, and we will implement it in a V7.5.x fix pack.
