Support Team (Group) field.

This request is to include a field for Product Support Group, that can be updated by the client (end user) via the Web User Interface, with the data retained in the client’s database repository.

This field is updateable by clients and can be used to store information such as which support group is responsible for upgrading each of the installed products, or it can be used by clients to store information on which group / team owns the product within the client organisation, or to identify any other relationship type between the product and the business units, that is useful to an organisation.

This data will provide meaningful information to clients on their installed software products and the relationship/ownership within their organisation.

If the field could be made an 8 character field this could contain a RACF group name or tso userid which will provide clients flexibility with determining the values they wish to use.

    We would use this feature at our shop. However, the field length would need to be longer to support the owner identifier. Guessing 25 to 30 characters should adequate. VARCHAR datatype if other customers are concerned about size.
