RELATED IDEAS

E3270UI should allow filtering on displayed value of an attribute.

RFE related to TOM, opened on Omegamon for z/OS because it owns the BASE functions.

Currently E3270UI has a limitation: if a filter on an attribute with enumerations is needed, filtering has to be done on the original value and can not be done on the value that is displayed on the WorkSpace.
So final users to do filtering on such attributes need to check the ODI file and use the original value in the filter.
It is not possible to think that final users of the monitor need to go to RKANDATV library, know the correct member, know the table from which the query is done and finally find the attribute in order to know the correct number to insert in the filter, especially in case of an emergency in which speed in debugging may be important.

So, we ask that E3270UI be able to convert the string inserted in the filter to 'internal' value.
