Design an easier way to send IBM E3270UI program check data

Currently when the E3270UI takes a program check, the PC data is displayed on-screen, and thus the user is forced to create a screen shot and attached it to a case.


For both the users and IBM, issue reporting would be much easier, if E3270UI program check data was written into the E3270UI SYSPRINT DD. No screen print needs to be taken, the data would be readily available in the SYSPRINT including any issues that could have lead to the PC issue. This SYSPRINT DD could be attached to a case and IBM would have a complete log, and in chronological order, of what happened with that E3270UI.

Additionally if the user forgets to take a screen shot the data is still available!

    Hello, thank you for submitting this Idea, we have assessed this product enhancement. The plan is to invest in error management changes to reduce the chances that errors will occur. Hopefully this work will prevent these types of issues from occurring and therefore support cases should not be needed. We have therefore decided to reject this request.
