z/OS Connect API Toolkit
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
When importing Service copybooks with multiple data structures, provide support for structures that start at levels higher than 01.
Example:
We have copybooks containing multiple data structures which, within the copybook, begin at 03 levels.
The z/OS Connect API Toolkit allows selection of which data structure to import but this only works for data structures at the 01 level.
Please expand this to support structures defined at the lowest level within the copybook. That is, if the lowest level is 03 then allow selection of any one of the 03 levels in the copybook file.
This requirement has been evaluated. Whilst z/OS Connect EE can import copybooks that have no 01 level, the current importer technology available to us means that we must treat the whole file as a single structure in this case. It is not technically feasible to treat structures at higher levels than 01 as separate and distinct structures on import. Therefore it is not likely that this would be implemented in future zOS Connect EE releases, so correspondingly this requirement is being rejected. You have an opportunity to resubmit in twelve months time if you wish it to be considered then.
