Many of our product enhancements result from feedback from our customers, so your input is always very important to us; However, your request for enhancement is not currently aligned with our product strategy and vision and we have no plans to address your request in the near future. Thank you for taking the time to suggest an enhancement to our product. To better understand your request, we will need some additional information. If you are using ZD&T Personal Edition, you should be able to do this using the AWSMOUNT command described in section 13.11 Dynamic configuration changes of the zPDT Redbook (December 2017 edition) (http://www.redbooks.ibm.com/abstracts/sg248205.html?Open). This will allow you to create slots in the Devmap for future volumes. You can do this as long as the device numbers match the definitions in the IODF. Then these unused slots can be populated dynamically using the AWSMOUNT command. Note that there is no plan to allow dynamic update.re-read of Devmap or to implement Dynamic I/O as its done on the HW. Could you please let us know if your request is for this feature to be added the Enterprise Edition of the product, so that you can dynamically change the DevMap using the ZD&T tools?
