SMF 110 Data to include Lock Details

We recently have had several problems related to LM waits and security delays but have not been able to use SMF data to identify the cause of the LM waits. If we're lucky enough to get a dump we might be able to see tasks waiting on a US lock, but our only clue in SMF data is LM waits, which could be several types of locks. Can the CICS 110 performance data be enhanced to include something about the type of LM waits? Perhaps some broad categories (dump, user, program)? Or even a resource class (hmm, could be useful to add Enques as well?). But primarily we would like to know how much of a delay is caused by security slow downs.

    CICS Development: We have no plans to provide this functionality in monitoring records. LM domain locks are internal only and too low level to provide sufficient information. The names of individual locks are not useful without access to the CICS source code.

    The summary of locks in the dump is the place to find this information.

    If there is a specific hot spot lock issue, we could perhaps address this a different way. A new Idea should be raised if this is the case.
