COBOL: free "ID" for datadefinitions (REST-Services)

In REST-service-context „id“ is a common used keyword for indentification purposes. In COBOL it isn't possible to define such a variable, because it is an reserved word.

ID is an abbreviation for IDENTIFICATION in IDENTIFICATION DIVISION and for this not usable in any other context.

The method to get around the issue with not being able to name COBOL fields the same name as a COBOL reserved word is to use the "NAME OF" phrase in JSON GENERATE and JSON PARSE. For example, you could name your COBOL variable "IDENTIFIER" and then specify the following as part of the JSON statement:
    NAME OF IDENTIFIER IS "id"
