Post an idea.
Get feedback from the IBM team and other customers to refine your idea.
Follow the idea through the IBM Ideas process.

Hi Anu,
One of our clients (one of the most important banks in Spain) is happy with the way CTG’s DSS works and they wouldn't want to have to stop using it
However, their Security/Audit department had detected a potential security risk: from a Java class any CICS program could be executed/invoked so they want to determine the programs that could be invoqued (i.e., using a list of them).
From my point of view, it could be done adding a simple piece of code in the cicsrequestexit that controls the program requested (as stated in the CA1T) rejecting the ones not included in the list.
Unfortunately, it could not be done as the DSS is active and cicsrequestexit could not be used.
Another solution, even further easy for the customers, could be to include a new parm in the CTG.ini file that allows to include a list of authorized programs to be called from CTG.
Many thanks for submitting the request, We would like to know more about the business need of this request. We had similar requests in past and after discussions with customer it was able to provide a solution using CA1T and some other methods. If its ok, I will be happy to schedule a call and take this forward.
Thanks
Anu
