Endevor quick edit - look alike

"Quick Edit. I am not sure how others are seeing quick edit work. Here are my thoughts. What goes on behind the covers doesn't matter. What I want to see is a stream lined process. Pulling in default values from the existing members is critical for this. When I open a member I only want to have the option to change the CCID and Description. The enviorment may also be required as to where to put the module when done. In our system today in TSO this is defaulted for us. A table in RDz at the Host may be required (one idea). Bring in the default from the existing member would be needed. On an update I already gave you the CCID and Description values when I retrieved it - stick with them. If it is anything else, only ask for the CCID and descriptions, maybe the enviorment. Use all other defaults. When done with a module, I want to be able to right click and select Copy to RAM and see not other screen, send right to the processor with no other screens. Just give me the message that the job is started with an option to go to the JOB as requested. All other functions should work simular. On an add, default the values to the last member that I retrieved or highlighted it there is a member to highlight. In the add, showing the enderor option screen might make since. My feelings, I am looking for a streamed process on all members I work on, this includes those that I add to a project. Adding it to a project and to a PDS would be great. In these cases there would have to be several defaults set up prior, like project, sub project and PDS of where to store the member. I see some real advantages with this. In this case it would work simular as it does today, just get rid of several of the screens that I have to walk through today. Once I set up many of the options, I should be able to go right to job submitted.
