Add additional statistics to the DLRACCT stats area

Adding additional metrics to the DLRACCT data area will provide better insight into where units of work are spending time and help identify bottlenecks. Currently, field DLRESAF provides a total number of ESAF Normal calls. Would like to see this broken out by subsystem (DB2, MQ, and Other) as well as an elapsed time for each. Additional fields that would be beneficial: Total Syncpoint elapsed time, split out by OSAM, VSAM , and Latch time Total Database elapsed time, split out by OSAM, VSAM, Latch, and Lock time Total DLI MSG elapsed time

    Hi James,

    Thank you for your interest in keeping IMS a vital and successful product. Software development has continuously evolved during IMS's lifetime, and so has IMS itself. We have kept pace with, adopted, and implemented many industry standard best practices within our organization, including Continuous Delivery, Design Thinking, and Agile.

    When choosing new features to add from the list of requirements in our backlog, we assess which will bring the most value to as many clients as possible and prioritize those.

    At this time, after reviewing this request for enhancement and assessing its potential value, we have decided to reject it. The reason we are rejecting Idea IMSDB-I-250 is that the goal we have set for ourselves is to deliver Ideas within 18-24 months of the submission. Unfortunately, due to other higher priorities, we will not be able to complete this Idea in the next 18-24 month period. You are welcome to resubmit this Idea at a later date and we will reconsider.

    We appreciate your input to IMS, and we hope that you will continue to submit ideas for improvements as customer feedback is a key component to shaping the future direction of IMS.
