Support of the VIPA address

We use the IMS Enterprise Suite Version 3.1 SOAP Gateway on z/OS.

When we send a command " iogmgmt -view -correlatorfile all" by a batch, we get the following error messages :

IOGS0129E: Management Utility commands cannot be sent from a remote host (10.111.119.1). Use Management Utility on localhost where the SOAP Gateway server is hosted to administer SOAP Gateway.

The problem is that the batch has been executed on the same LPAR where is the IMS Soap Gateway STC !

It seems that IMS Soap Gateway does not consider VIPA addresses, but only the loopback (please have a look to the attached file to get more details).

Threfore, we require that IMS Soap Gateway checks the VIPA address beside the loopback.

    Hi Xuan-Son Kou,

Thank you for your interest in keeping IMS a vital and successful product. Software development has continuously evolved during IMS's lifetime, and so has IMS itself. We have kept pace with, adopted, and implemented many industry standard best practices within our organization, including Continuous Delivery, Design Thinking, and Agile.

When choosing new features to add from the list of requirements in our backlog, we assess which will bring the most value to as many clients as possible and prioritize those.

At this time, after reviewing this request for enhancement and assessing its potential value, we have decided to reject it. The reason we are rejecting RFE ID 75290 is because SOAP Gateway product has been stabilized and generally we would not be adding any new enhancements. If you have any further questions, feel free to contact us. We would be happy to see what other alternative would help you.

    Thank you.
