Using IBM Z Monitoring Configuration Manager parameter KDE_LOOPBACK_POOL within RTEDEF should be applied in members KppENV.

Hello

We're using Configuration Manager to create the runtime data sets for Omegamon products, we need to fix the ports for those products as we're not allowed to work with dynamic ports.

We observe that the values assigned to the parameter KDE_LOOPBACK_POOL is not taken into consideration running GENERATE.

This means that we must manually update the KDE_LOOPBACK_POOL within the members KppENV in data set RKANPARU afre running the GENERATE.

Could you consider taking into account the value specified within RTEDEF and keep it for the members KppENV.

Please refer to case TS013113409

Regards

Alain

Hello, Thank you for opening this product enhancement request. Development have reviewed this idea and commented that the requested updates to the Configuration Manager are already available today. This can be achieved by setting parameter Kpp_X_KDE_TRANSPORT_POOL_OPTIONS in RTEDEF(KDS$PARM) or RTEDEF(KDS$<lpar>) before running the GENERATE action. The resultant RKANPARU(KDSENV) member will show the POOL range.

Please reach out if you have any further questions. Regards IBM OMEGAMON Product Management
