This portal is to open public enhancement requests against IBM Z Software products. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).
We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:
Start by searching and reviewing ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted, and add a comment, vote, or subscribe to updates on them if they matter to you. If you can't find what you are looking for,
Post an idea.
Get feedback from the IBM team and other customers to refine your idea.
Follow the idea through the IBM Ideas process.

It is not obvious enough to determine the complete and successful initialization of the OMEGAMON products (for z/OS, CICS, IMS, DB2, MQ,.. ). We can't find an unique message that indicates that all the components of an Omegamon started task are ready to work. We can accept for collectors like CICS, DB2 and MQ that the UP message is issued before the collector being connected to all its monitored applications.
Currently the sample provided by System Automation for z/OS are not complete. The OMV002I message that indicates the VTAM ACB is opened, may be does not reflect the status of the application. For example SA uses the OMV002I message for the OMEGCN application while in this case there is a better one : CNDL190I. Meanwhile, there are still other messages about functions started that appear after the CNDL190I being issued.
Kind regards
JP Charenton
