z/TPF Mobile Workload Pricing

z/TPF customers with measurement data reflecting customer mobile workloads must be made available for specific software pricing agreements. The agreements are well documented for z/OS CICS/DB2 workloads (links provided).

Implementation of any infrastructure measurements and reporting to meet the IBM requirements for measurement and reporting should adhere to the present standards of TPF software delivery.
Current hardware and software releases should only be considered for any modifications requrired by resource measurments needed.
If specific designations of workload are required by IBM, these requirements for reporting or measurement must be flexible enough to retain or use customer pre-existing 'markers' for eligible workloads on z/TPF.

Due to processing by IBM, this request was reassigned to have the following updated attributes:
Brand - Servers and Systems Software
Product family - z Systems Software
    Product - z/TPF

For recording keeping, the previous attributes were:
    Brand - WebSphere
    Product family - Transaction Processing
    Product - z/TPF

z/TPF Transformation Engines (TE's) is purely hardware pricing. TE's enable customers to modernize and exploit newer technologies at a lower HW cost. z/TPF already has a software pricing option, workload charging (WLC), that allows the newer technologies to be used at a reduced SW cost.

Is the Transformation Engine reducing HW->Hardware costs or Software? I thought it was for Software. The mobile workload impact will use both new and existing features and applications within TPF systems. How can TPF customers ensure that the Transformation engine pricing includes mobile workload impacts?

z/TPF already provides special pricing options that discount software and hardware for adopting newer technologies. WLC pricing option for discounting certain SW on z/TPF has been available since z/TPF GA (2004). z/TPF Transformation Engines was announced in 2015 to reduce the HW costs of using certain code on z/TPF. Because these options already exist and can be used to enable mobile users and other channels to connect to your z/TPF system, there is no need for another new specific mobile pricing option on z/TPF.
