Support for >32K structures in IMS (message based structures instead of segment based structures in API)

Currently the z/OS Connect EE and IMS Mobile solution are designed to work with traditional IMS segment layouts, specifically requiring LLZZ prefixes. This implies that message structures exceeding 32K in size are not supported, unless they are manually split into chunks (segments) <32K.

This RFE describes the requirement for z/OS Connect EE and IMS Mobile to:
a. allow for import of >32K structures in IMS Mobile (IMS Explorer)
b. allow import of the SAR from (a.) into the z/OS Connect API Editor, just as with one-segment messages

The possibility to specify the real segment size would be useful (perhaps during the "Import Structure" process in IMS Mobile?).

    This requirement is addressed by z/OS Connect Enterprise Edition V3.0.

    This enhancement is achieved through the adoption of the new "large data structures" capability for IMS. Further details are available in the z/OS Connect EE V3.0 knowledge center topic, "Handling large IMS data structures" :

    This requirement is addressed by z/OS Connect Enterprise Edition API Editor V2.0.4.0, available with the IBM Explorer for z/OS.
