Set LL value for IMS msg

A middleware application at the bank is responsible for sending data from branch applications back to IMS on the host and process the response back.

The middleware team is looking to modernize this application to communicate to IMS using z/OS Connect. The size of the message they send to IMS can vary significantly. Setting a large fix size in the COBOL book can work but this is a high traffic middleware application and if the actual message size is only 1K and the COBOL field size is 30K then that can easily use a lot of unnecessary IMS log space. Today, the LL value is included in the interface but is ignored by z/OS Connect. We need the ability to set the LL value so we only send the actual size of the payload.

    Whilst this requirement is valid, based on our current plans and priorities for IBM z/OS Connect Enterprise Edition, it is not likely that this could be implemented in the next 12 months. Correspondingly this requirement is being declined at this point. The requirement will be kept in the RFE system and might be reassessed in the future. You also have an opportunity to resubmit in twelve months time if you wish it to be reconsidered then.
