This would prove useful information for those without access to the HMC - as long as it was just informational
For VTS could be very useful. Improve panel 3 with other useful information could be a very good idea. If possible increase idea priority to High.
We think it would be a nice-to-have feature. We also like the comments on providing more information for the CF:s.
As for others, we restrict HMC access, even to operators, so more info via PF11 would be nice and not go amiss for us.
We default perform deactivate/activate when IPL-ing systems with GDPS, so for this we would not need the information in standard options panel. It would be more a nice-to-have feature.
The additional comment on Feb 3, 2023 "possibility to showLPAR status (INACTIVE, OPERATING and so) for entries shown as MANUAL, such as CFs or non GDPS systems." would be more valuable as an idea.

As we use GDPS more and more to manage systems and LPARs and reduce access to the HMC it is a good idea to bring more information to the GDPS panels or the GDPS GUI. At least it would be helpful to have query function from GDPS (as we have with the CPC Ops) to request current information from the HMC.

I would be nice to see the actual status of the CF's instead of the word MANUAL. We use GDPS to ACTIVATE/DEACTIVATE but still have to check the HMC to see the ICF status.
There used to be an option to view the config and see the Normal /Abnormal lpar location. This has been removed so I would like to see this appear on the panel. Maybe have some mandatory fields but provide a means of allowing the customer to define what other fields they would like to see on this panel. Then just provide a list of fields that can be displayed.
GDPS panels have some redundant information and functionalities with HMC and both can work quite independently. I would feel more comfortable (lower operational risk) if both could share all functionalities and have any update propagated to each other.
I would also add the possibility to show LPAR status (INACTIVE, OPERATING and so) for entries shown as MANUAL, such as CFs or non GDPS systems. If not by default, at least with an option to query or refresh their status.
I would also be useful to to see the H/ lpar name.
