Can policy function be defined to tasks?

The customer hopes the new policy function of CICS TS V5.2 helps them to monitor tasks in looping. But when they test this function, they found policy only could be defined to user programs, but can't be defined to tasks. They complained it is a hard to set all these programs one by one, they hope the policy could be defined to user tasks. I heard IBM has developed this function to CICS TS V5.3, but my customer now will migrate to TS V5.2. That means it is impossible for them to migrate TS V5.3 and use this function in the near future. So they ask to develope this function at CICS TS V5.2 by PTF

This RFE is satisfied by APAR PH26145 which is available on CICS TS 5.4, 5.5 and 5.6. The policy editor support is provided by CICS Explorer 5.5.0.11 or higher which can be used with all these CICS TS releases. The latest CICS Explorer is 5.5.0.18

The policy task rules editor now allows you to specify a filter of transid and userid for all existing task rules. You can set conditions of equals, does not equal, starts with, or does not start with. This allows for support of specific transaction ids or user ids, also wildcarding, plus the ability to include or exclude transactions or sets of transactions from the policy.

We have assessed this requirement. We have no current plans for this to be implemented and so this requirement is being declined at this point. The requirement will be kept in the RFE system and might be reassessed in the future. You also have an opportunity to resubmit in twelve months time if you wish it to be reconsidered then.
