This portal is to open public enhancement requests against IBM Z Software products. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).
We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:
Start by searching and reviewing ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted, and add a comment, vote, or subscribe to updates on them if they matter to you. If you can't find what you are looking for,
Post an idea.
Get feedback from the IBM team and other customers to refine your idea.
Follow the idea through the IBM Ideas process.

We would like to deploy user build across our organization.
But we have a problem with the way it selects dependencies through the 2 options available on page 2.
The first option selects the pending changes to load. They involve dependencies discovered during editing.
The 2nd option selects the dependencies to load. They involve dependencies found by RTC during the last team build.
The 2nd option does not always work for us as new dependencies can be added. And we want to do a user build before delivering to RTC, therefore before a team build.
The first option is what we are looking for. However, it selects only the dependencies in the pending changes. This is not enough. True, the files that are not in the pending changes are in the stream; but the assumption that they are in the PDS related to the team build is wrong. Team builds don't run all the time, people deliver many things to the stream before a team build is requested. For us a team build is an integration build across the team.
We'd like a way for the first option to select ALL the dependencies discovered during editing. This way we would be sure that the user is building with the content of his workspace, and not outdated files.

We realize this Request for Enhancement has been in our backlog for quite some time and it is currently still not in our roadmap for the next two years. Instead of keeping it indefinitely in our backlog we have decided to respond with a decline.
If you would like to discuss this decision in more detail please reach our to Joy Spohn (joys@us.ibm.com). Or, you can resubmit in 12-18 months for reconsideration. Thank you again for your suggestion.
