We face an issue where a single DEDB area can use vast amounts of SDEPs under a single root. This has led us to be max size 4gb on the ADS with no room for future growth. Our only option currently is to look to move off of IMS DEDB's and SDEPs.
This idea is for the ADS to be split in 2, with the SDEP portion being in its own unique dataset which could potentially grow to 4gb (maybe even larger as you have an extra byte for the wrap counter?). This would enable the continued use of IMS DEDB's which have large volumes of SDEP's under a single root.

Thanks for submitting this idea. We have discussed this in meetings with Barclays. Kevin Stewart is looking into other possibilities. So for now we will reject this idea. Kevin will be reaching out to you about other possibilities.
