GDPS PREVENTS USE OF XCF FUNCTION

Bradesco bank uses GDPS for all Sysplex related maintenance as recommended in the GDPS manuals. However, when there is a need for updates in the CFRM policy customer would like to make use of the DISPLAY XCF,REALLOCATE,TEST command to check for possible problems BEFORE issuing a reallocate. When a new CFRM policy is activated through GDPS panels , GDPS issues the SETXCF,REALLOCATE right after the policy actionation without giving the possibility of issuing the DISPLAY XCF command before the reallocate takes place.

    Since the expectation from the GDPS product is to manage these resources from within GDPS then it sounds reasonable that the command and features needed to ensure reliable management would be included such as the feature suggested.
