I agree that this should be handled by IBM and also support the suggestion that this should be extended to the GRS CNS.

We also think it would be nice if this should be extended to the GRS CNS.
We also have an own SA solution for this issue at DATEV but think that it would be better if GDPS would handle this situation.
FI also would like GDPS to handle this situation by its own.
LBG have a bespoke solution in place for this. It would be an excellent enhancement if GDPS could handle this for us.
WFC agrees with other comments it would be nice to see GDPS handle this (although this is low priority for us when compared to our XRC->GM reqs).
We wrote code in SA to handle this, but XCF/GDPS should work out where to place it
This should also be extended to the GRS CNS. A controlling system can become the GRS contention notification system with the same impact as the CFRM manager role.
Worldpay/FIS also use SA to solve this situation. However, our preference would be for IBM to provide an option within XCF to prioritize which systems can run this function.
We have build a System Automation soluton for this problem, but it should be handled by XCF or GDPS internally.
We did a own solution but such functions should be delivered by IBM

Currently, we have System Automation procedures that control the allocation, but our company prefers to introduce as little "in-house" written procedures as possible, so an IBM solution would be welcome.

If the CFRM Message-Based Manager is active on a Production system it would be helpful that messages like IXC585E and IXC588I will be generated on this Production system as well. At this moment these messages appear on a controlling lpar and expecially when it is logger related you would want them in your production lpar (OPER)LOG.
