JDK latest and greatest lifecyclemanagement

IDz is considered as a threat for our mission critical applications by our security depertment because it runs on an IBM supported open JDK version 11 This version is considered out of date and does not receive the more structural security enhancements, apart from critical patching. This might create an attack surface towards our mission critical systems. IDz has a history of lagging strongly behind the market with respect to the JDK version and the common atmosphere is that you should run with at least the latest minus 1 version. For now we have temporary permission to still run IDz in an isolated installation, but we need to phase out IDz when this does not change. Request is to apply a more current LCM strategy where every IDz version comes with a JDK that is at least GA version -1, and ensure operability with the other mainframe tools and facilities

Thank you for taking the time to suggest an Idea to our product. Many of our product enhancements result from feedback from our customers, so your input is always very important to us. Your request is currently in line with our product strategy and we added it as a candidate for future releases of the product. Thank you for your suggestion and continued support.
