Encrypting TWS Zcentric workstation password on Mainframe.

Currently we have Set of TWS workstation ID and password saved in PARMFTA userinfo dataset on mainframe to connect to connect to zcentric workstation pn windows


This userid and password is visible for the security admin who update PARMFTA userinfo member which is audit violation.


Currently there is a encryption job provided with this product to encrypt the userid and password , but still security admin need to add the userid and password in unencrypted form PARMFTA userinfo dataset before encrypting it.So security admin able to see the ID and password for sometime which is also considered as audit violation.


So our idea is to enable the encryption facility for this product via Certificate solution

    This idea is being replaced by the following 2 ideas:

    • ZWS-I-201 Encrypting member in IWSz EQQPARM dataset without dynamically calling EQQBEX

    • ZWS-I-202 Another way for controlling access between IWSz and zCentric IWS-agent on distributed platform instead of using member in EQQPARM dataset.
